AUC's search for a new provost has made news on the Chronicle of Higher Education. So someone's heard of us after all! Imagine that - moving an entire university to a brand-new (and still incomplete-appearing) campus on the desert's edge is something to not be too "sanguine" about. Glad it's not my job.
Chronicle is actually where I found my job posting in the first place. I was actually looking at a different ad, and way down in the corner of the webpage, the word "Cairo" caught my eye. The application was easy, and about 5 minutes later I'd sent in my CV and cover letter.
And the rest, as they say, is history. Hilarious history.
